COMMITTEES
Membership Committee
This committee is responsible for recruiting, retaining, and welcoming members to the HBA of the Lowcountry, is an active ambassador at events, and finds new and unique opportunities for new members to get involved with existing and long-standing members.
Technical Review Committee (TRC)
The Technical Review Committee (TRC) exists to help people working in our region get development projects designed and permitted in the most efficient manner possible. Because we live in a very special place, our region has a set of laws established that are intended to protect the health and safety of citizens. These laws often are also for the purpose of improving the quality of design and construction. Since there are multiple departments responsible for administering these laws it is beneficial to have development review coordinated to avoid confusion and delay. That is the purpose of TRC.
Government Affairs Committee
The Government Affairs Committee influences policy by being a valuable resource for elected officials and staff. These leaders come together, with a unified voice, to find solutions that are fair for the business community and our Lowcountry residents. Additionally, this committee monitors issues involving our industry on the local, state, and national levels, holds candidate forums, and recommends candidates we support
